PETA, (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals) have been very outspoken about a lot of issues in the world today. Some points they make do stand to reason, and are a cause that a lot of people can get behind. But their latest outcry is aimed at people who couldn’t care less, mainly because they aren’t built to care, literally.

PETA has explained in an official blog post why they have asked Warhammer creators Games Workshop to stop donning their fictional characters in furs, stating “While we appreciate that they are fictional, draping them in what looks like a replica of a dead animal sends the message that wearing fur is acceptable – when, in fact, it has no more place in 2017 than it would in the year 40,000.” The Warhammer series started as a Figurine based tabletop war game in 1987, and has since developed books and video games to tie into the futuristic world as well. This land is inhabited by all manner of fantasy and sci-fi creatures, intent on tearing each other apart in the ravages of war, but this brutalization apparently pales in comparison to what the fictional critters have to endure when they are made into armor.

Do you think PETA is in the right here? Or is this issue more fictitious than the fur clad warriors themselves?
