The competitive eSports scene has grown into the pubic eye in recent years, stirring up some controversy along the way, but constantly growing and grabbing people attention. This is highlighted by the fact that on average in 2015, eSports competitions for League of Legends had more views, on average, than the World Series and NBA Finals.

This continues rise to popularity takes a big step forward with the rumored release of a movie starring Will Ferrel as a professional eSports competitor. The movie will follow humor along the lines on Ferrel’s movie Talladega Nights, and will revolve around the story of a middle aged man playing in a competitive environment usually dominated by competitors between 14-21. The film will be produced by Legendary Entertainment, the company behind the Warcraft movie.
