To say that gamers were disappointed with No Mans Sky is an understatement. Fans were very vocal of their anger with the game, stating that developer Hello Games had not followed through with various promises. The outrage got to the point that the official subreddit for No Mans Sky was actually shut down due to how hostile the environment had gotten. The company has maintained media silence since the game’s release, but has finally taken to Twitter today to speak out about what’s next for the game. Their first official tweet in months links gamers to No Mans Sky’s official blog which has several things to say on the subject.
“The discussion around No Man’s Sky since release has been intense and dramatic. We have been quiet, but we are listening and focusing on improving the game that our team loves and feels so passionately about.”
Being called “The Foundation Update” this update will introduce base building into the game, as well as laying the ground work for more additions in the future.
Hello Games has the potential for an amazing game, but they have a lot of work to do before they regain the trust of the community. What do you think gamers?
